What does an e-bike rental actually cost?
Monthly prices, deposits, maintenance and the costs a subscription replaces.

The headline monthly prices
At PEDALEBIKE, the Urban EC starts at £83/month + VAT, the Fat Tyre FT is £125/month + VAT and the Moped-Style MB is £208/month + VAT. Weekly plans are available on the FT (from £38/week + VAT) and MB (from £58/week + VAT).
What the price includes
The monthly price includes routine maintenance, battery health checks, GPS tracking and workshop support. That matters because an electric bike used regularly needs tyres, brake work, servicing and eventually battery care.
The deposit
A £100 refundable deposit is held against the rental. It is not an extra rental charge; the return policy explains how it is handled at the end.
Comparing rental with buying
Buying an e-bike means an upfront purchase, a charger and lock, servicing, and the risk of repair bills. A subscription spreads the cost into a predictable monthly payment and gives you workshop support.
Which plan makes sense?
If you ride most days, a monthly plan is usually the better value. A weekly plan can work for a short delivery contract or a trial. Choose the bike around the job, not only the price.
